DAY 1: MARRAKECH – HIGH ATLAS – SKOURA – DADES GORGE
Your 4-day desert tour from Marrakech begins with a convenient pick-up from your accommodation. Leaving Marrakech, we will travel through the splendid High Atlas mountains via the Tizi-N-Tichka Pass. Along the way, your friendly guide/driver will stop at the most scenic spots and you can ask to stop whenever you like.
After a pleasant lunch in Ait Ben Haddou or Ouarzazate, the journey continues towards the Dades Gorge through charming Skoura and the enchanting Valley of Roses. In the lush oasis of Skoura you will have the chance to visit the remarkable Kasbah of Amridil, one of the most impressive fortified villages in Morocco. For those travelling in spring, we can also make a special stop to admire the valley in full bloom, adorned with a delightful display of roses.

DAY 2: DADES GORGE – TODRA CANYON – MERZOUGA DESERT
Start the day with a delicious breakfast, then set off on a scenic road along the Dades and Todra rivers, surrounded by palm groves and Berber villages. Your destination is the Todra Gorge in Tinghir, one of the most extraordinary canyons in the world! We will then continue towards the Merzouga desert.
Before reaching the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga, our driver/guide may suggest a visit to a traditional Berber shop, where you can take free photos wearing a Berber outfit. If you wish, you can buy something, such as scarves that are ideal for the desert or souvenirs, but there is no obligation: the main aim of the shop is to share Berber culture. Just tell the driver/guide if you are not interested and we will skip the stop.
Once in Merzouga, get ready for a camel ride into the desert to watch the sunset over the dunes and try sandboarding. You will then spend the night in a luxury desert camp, where you will enjoy a delicious dinner and experience the magic of the Sahara under the stars.

DAY 3: MERZOUGA – RISSANI – AGDEZ – OUARZAZATE
Today, if you wake up early, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking sunrise. The spectacular play of colours can be admired from the dune closest to your camp. After a pleasant breakfast at the camp, you will have two options for the return to the town of Merzouga: an adventurous camel ride or a comfortable drive in a 4×4 vehicle.
A short distance from the town lies the village of Khamlia, renowned for its enchanting Gnawa music. Here we will take a moment to let ourselves be enveloped by the fascinating sounds of this Moroccan musical style. Our next destination is Rissani, an ancient town of great historical value, the cradle of Morocco’s current ruling family and an important stop on the old caravan routes. If it is a Tuesday, Thursday or Sunday, we will have the chance to visit the town’s traditional Moroccan souk.
From Rissani, our journey continues through the picturesque Draa Valley to Agdez, a truly enchanting setting. The road leads us to Ouarzazate, where we will arrive in the afternoon and settle into our accommodation.

DAY 4: OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADDOU – TELOUET KASBAH – MARRAKECH
Today our adventure begins with a delicious breakfast before setting off to discover Ouarzazate, often nicknamed the “Hollywood of Africa” and an important gateway to the Sahara Desert. The city boasts the largest film studio in all of Africa, the renowned Atlas Studios, as well as the historic Kasbah of Taourirt.
After soaking up the charm of Ouarzazate, our journey continues to fascinating Ait Ben Haddou. Here we will have the opportunity to explore the ancient Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-protected site since 1987. This extraordinary fortress has been the backdrop to many iconic films and TV series, including Gladiator, The Mummy and Game of Thrones, which adds even more to its charm.
