After a short stop, we will continue across the Middle Atlas mountains, stopping in a cedar forest to watch the rare Barbary macaques in the wild. Lunch will be at a restaurant along the way. We will then continue towards the desert over the Tizi N Telghemt pass and along the Ziz Valley.
Arrival in the town of Merzouga (a small village at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes) in the late afternoon. Here the camels and the guide will be waiting to take you across the dunes to the desert camp. Along the way you will stop on a high dune to watch a peaceful sunset over the vast Erg Chebbi sand dunes, then continue the ride.
You will be welcomed with a cup of tea on arrival at the camp. Relax in your private tent before dinner. After an appetising dinner, you will sit around the fire with the Berbers. You will listen to Berber music and share their culture under a starry sky.
