ITINERARY: 5 DAYS FROM TANGIER TO MARRAKECH
DAY 1: TANGIER – CHEFCHAOUEN
Your 5-day tour from Tangier begins with a warm welcome at Tangier airport, one of the city’s ports or your hotel, where our friendly local guide will meet you.
We will then head to the enchanting town of Chefchaouen, nestled in the splendid Rif mountains of northern Morocco. On arrival, you will check in at your comfortable hotel/riad and have the chance to explore the town and its iconic blue-painted streets. You can stroll through its narrow lanes, visit the lively markets or relax in one of the lovely cafés and restaurants serving authentic Moroccan cuisine. You will spend the night in a delightful riad/hotel, where you can relax in the peaceful atmosphere.

DAY 2: CHEFCHAOUEN – FES
Start the day with a delicious breakfast at your riad, to prepare for a fascinating journey to Fes. On arrival in Fes, you will be welcomed by an expert local guide ready to show you the wonders of this medieval city. Explore its historic streets, immerse yourself in its rich history and admire its splendid architecture. You can enjoy a delicious lunch in the lively Medina, to savour the authentic flavours and aromas of the local cuisine.
After a day of discovery, relax in a lovely riad in the heart of the Fes Medina, a peaceful retreat within the vibrant city.

DAY 3: FES – IFRANE – MIDDLE ATLAS – ZIZ VALLEY – MERZOUGA DESERT
After a delicious breakfast at your riad in Fes, we will set off for an unforgettable desert experience. The journey will take us south towards Merzouga, home to the magical Erg Chebbi dunes. Along the way we will stop in the picturesque town of Ifrane, to relax and admire the beauty of the landscapes.
Continuing, we will cross the Middle Atlas mountains with a stop in a cedar forest, where you can watch the Barbary macaques in their natural habitat. We will then have a satisfying lunch at a restaurant along the way. We will then enter the enchanting Ziz Valley, famous for its lush palm groves, before reaching the desert.
In the afternoon we will arrive in the desert, and your authentic camel ride across the enchanting Erg Chebbi dunes will begin, with a stop to admire a splendid sunset from the top of a high dune. Continuing, you will reach a luxury desert camp, where you will be shown to your private tent. In the evening you will enjoy a delicious traditional dinner. You will gather around a cosy campfire under the starry sky, where the camp staff will entertain you with lively drum rhythms and traditional Berber music. You can even learn to play the drums.

DAY 4: MERZOUGA DESERT – RISSANI – TODRA GORGE – DADES VALLEY
Today we highly recommend an early wake-up to admire a splendid sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After a delicious breakfast, you can choose to return to Merzouga by camel or in a 4×4 vehicle. Your guide/driver will take you towards the Dades Valley.
During the journey you will explore fascinating places such as the lively market of Rissani (if it falls on a souk day: Sunday, Tuesday or Thursday). A pleasant walk also awaits you in the splendid Todra Gorge, with breathtaking views of the Todra river.
Continuing to the Dades Gorge, get ready to be amazed by the extraordinary rock formations known as monkey fingers. The scenic drive along the Dades Valley offers views of the gorges before you reach your lovely hotel for the night.

DAY 5: DADES VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADDOU – HIGH ATLAS – MARRAKECH
On the last day of your tour from Tangier to Marrakech, the first stop will be Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Africa” and known as the “gateway to the desert”. Here you can choose to visit the Atlas Studios, the largest film studio in Morocco, to explore famous sets and discover the world of cinema.
After visiting the studios, we will head to Ait Ben Haddou, where you will visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featured in many films such as The Mummy and Prince of Persia. Take time to admire the architecture and rich decorations of this historic site.
After a pleasant lunch, we will cross the majestic High Atlas mountains, enjoying the breathtaking views. In the late afternoon we will arrive in Marrakech, at the end of your 5-day tour from Tangier to Marrakech.
